This meeting is intended to develop the professional skills of academic general internists and others interested in medical education, research, healthcare delivery and policy, and clinical general internal medicine. Various learning modalities, including lectures, workshops, and poster presentations, allow attendees to develop a personalized educational experience. Evidence-based best practices, research findings, interesting clinical cases, and skill-building opportunities that address issues important to academic general internal medicine will be presented.
At the conclusion of this CME/MOC activity, participants will be able to:

- Augment advocacy skills to drive excellence across clinical care, medical education, and research

Evaluate the intersection of climate change and information technology on modern general internal medicine (GIM) practice

All sessions, with the exception of Poster sessions, Interest Group meetings, networking sessions, Committee Meetings, and Trivia, are approved for CME MOC, unless otherwise noted.
Registered attendees will be able to request up to a maximum of 20.25 hours of credit for those attending all three meeting days: May 7, 8, and 9.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the meeting, and completion of the evaluation and assessment surveys, enables the participant to earn MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.
Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
SGIM only provides MOC for those who are diplomates of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

Claiming CME and MOC Credit for SGIM26
To receive CME or MOC credit for SGIM26, attendees must complete the Overall Meeting Evaluation and, if applicable, the MOC Assessment by June 8, 2026.
