Important Information for Pregnant Attendees of the SGIM25 Annual Meeting

We recognize that some participants of the SGIM25 Annual Meeting may be pregnant or planning to become pregnant in advance of the meeting. It is essential to prioritize your health and well-being by consulting with your healthcare provider before making any travel plans. Your safety is of utmost importance to SGIM.

Health & Safety

While SGIM is committed to the health and safety of all conference participants, the Society has no slated COVID vaccination or masking policy for the 2025 annual meeting in Hollywood, FL. We encourage all meeting participants to practice appropriate hygiene measures to help decrease the spread of all respiratory diseases, including COVID-19, flu, and RSV. Keeping your hands clean is the best way to get rid of germs and stop the spread of germs to others.

SGIM reserves the right to update these Health & Safety Protocols in advance of the event and will notify all registrants of any changes.

Thank you in advance for all the steps you will take to reduce the likelihood of the spread of disease at the event, helping to keep the broader community healthy and safe.

Code of Conduct

We expect all participants at SGIM meetings (attendees, members, vendors, exhibitors, contractors, staff, and venue staff) to abide by this Code of Conduct Policy in all venues at SGIM National, Regional, or other Society meetings, including ancillary events and official and unofficial social gatherings. The following is not an exhaustive list but is meant to guide attendees in interactions.

SGIM is committed to promoting diversity, which is expressed in myriad forms. Some examples include race and ethnicity, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, language, culture, national origin, religious commitments, age, (dis)ability status, and political perspective.

This Code of Conduct Policy outlines our expectations for all participants in any SGIM virtual or in-person meeting and the consequences for unacceptable behavior.

We expect all participants in SGIM meetings to create safe and positive experiences for everyone. In doing so, we forge the best possible environment to advance SGIM’s mission and support our core values. This policy is intended to prevent harassment and other misconduct.

In this policy, “Participant” refers to anyone present at an SGIM-sponsored National, Regional, or other meeting, including staff, contractors, vendors, exhibitors, venue staff, members, and any other attendees.

Sustainability at SGIM25

Our Commitment to Planetary Health: SGIM is building its strategic approach regarding planetary health education, advocacy, and meeting sustainability. As part of this initiative, SGIM leaders and our Environmental Health Interest group have identified the need for increased program content on climate change and environmental justice at the national conference alongside increased sustainability measures in all that we do onsite.
